My present rank is a 4th degree certified master instructor.
My college education is from Rutgers University obtaining a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics/Business Administration in 1978. I worked in the business field and volunteered my extra time with special needs adolescents. This experience was highly rewarding, so I pursued my Masters degree Special Education and in School Administration from Kean University. After pursuing my Masters degree, I felt the need to professionally be able to diagnose children with specific learning diabilities so I pursued a NJ State Certification as a Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant.
Professionally, I started my teaching career at Somerset Educational Services Commission teaching emotionally disturbed adolescents. I was recruited by the Superintendent of Watchung Hills Regional High School in 1986. I teach Algebra for Special Services and Team Teach for the Math Department.

Hi,
My name is Don Jackson. I am 31 years old. I started taking Soo Bahk Do karate when I was 11. I would like to tell you how Soo Bahk Do has made a different in my life. When I was young my hand eye coordination was very poor. I had a hard time even catching a ball. Today my hand eye coordination and balance are good, I even go snow boarding now a days. I also had a hard time concentrating when I was young. When I started karate I was put in the tot class. Today, I am a black belt and I teach classes at Hwang Karate in Gillette. As a child I found reading to be very difficult. Today my reading is fine my spelling is not very good, but that what spell check is for. Soo Bahk Do karate has made a different in my life. I believe that karate will help one improve their hand eye correlation and concentration. I firmly believe that one can always improve oneself. I know Karate has helped me and I believe that karate will help you to better yourself.
